CCR follows the Reggio-Emilia philosophy for early childhood education and development. We are introducing the first Reggio-Emilia inspired program in Bethesda-Chevy Chase to give parents a fresh alternative for their children. Other communities such as Georgetown and Capital Hill alredy have thriving Reggio-Emilia programs. Our cirriculum is child-centered in that students' interests and curiosity play a critical role in our lesson planning. Lesson plans change daily, focused on what the children are interested in while making sure to cover all disciplines in the course of their exploration, from math to science, to music, art, drama and language.

A waiting list of the remaining registrants is kept. There are 60 spaces, 3 classes of 20 with a possibility of a 4th class next fall. Our mission is to provide creative and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a nurturing environment. Tours of the school are held the fourth Tuesday of each month, except for December.
