Red Line resumes service  normal: Effective Sunday, September 6

Rail service between Friendship Heights and North Bethesda has been restored.

The shuttle buses between Metro stations north of Western Avenue have been discontinued.

The bus lanes on Wisconsin Avenue north of Western Avenue have returned to their regular lanes.

Lines C83 and D96 will resume using the stop at Bay K at the Friendship Heights terminal.  Bay K is located on Wisconsin Avenue, behind the Dunkin' Donuts.

The eastbound stop on McKinley Street at Chevy Chase Parkway has been moved a block east to McKinley Street and Nevada Avenue.  Riders who live east of Nevada have one block less to walk home.  (There is no change in the westbound direction)

Line C83 trips depart early from Friendship Heights   

While the schedule calls for departures on the hour and half hour (on the hour only on weekends), many C83 buses often leave the terminal 1 to 3 minutes (occasionally 5 minutes) ahead of the scheduled departure time, and tend to cross Connecticut Avenue early as well, if making a connection from the D70.  Factor this in as you plan your trips.  (FoBus is working with WMATA internally to attempt to correct this.)
