HAVE FEEDBACK ON THE NEW BUS NETWORK? Community Feedback Session at Blessed Sacrament Tuesday, August 26, 7:00-8:30 (rescheduled from August 13) Greetings bus riders, Now that you've had a chance to use the new bus network for a few weeks, we're devoting an entire meeting to learning how the new system is working for you. On Tuesday, August 26, beginning at 7 pm, the Friends of Bus Transit (FoBus) is holding a Community Bus Network Feedback Session. This will take place at Blessed Sacrament's 3630 Quesada Street location in the Parish Center. The event is open to all, though we will mostly focus in areas west of Rock Creek Park. [Enter the back of the building from the parking lot. The meeting room is on the main floor. Signs and volunteers will be there to direct you. (Note: This is not the Chevy Chase Parkway school entrance).] This is an opportunity for you to speak about: - What's working for you - What's not working well - Suggestions for improvements You are welcome to talk about anything from specific details, such as particular bus stops or bus shelters, to larger issues, such as timing and performance. The DC State Fair is a free annual event to celebrate the District's homegrown agricultural, artistic, and culinary talents. This year's fair will be on Saturday September 6 at Bryant Street NE, right off the Rhode Island Ave Metro. Inspired by time-honored state fair traditions—growing and gardening, contests, and deep-fried foods—the DC State Fair honors what makes the District unique!
Registration for DC State Fair contests is now open, which include everything from best apple pie to funkiest looking vegetable. Winners will be announced at the fair. See you there!
Chevy Chase DC Day will be held on Saturday, September 20 from 1 to 4 pm at the Chevy Chase Community Center Commons.
Lots of activities are being planned - bounce house, ice cream, music, free books, and kids art activities. Come meet the community organizations who work to make Chevy Chase, DC a great place to live!
